Things to do with Ages 6+ in Aspen

Come for the winter and stay for the summer, as the locals say! Aspen/Snowmass is an outdoor haven for children with beautiful weather and of course, lots of activities! Here are some of the highlights for your kids over the age of six this summer!

1.) Check out Aspen Rec. Center, or the ARC!

At the ARC, your kids can enjoy a 32-foot climbing tower, an ice rink, and a swimming pool complete with a lazy river and a waterslide. Adult Daily Admission is $20.00 while youth daily admission (ages 2-17) is $17.00 and includes access to the Climbing Tower, Open Swim, Public Skate, Weight Room, Fitness Rooms, and Fitness Classes.

2.) Red Brick Climbing Wall

Larger and more inclusive than the Climbing Tower at the ARC, this climbing wall features 3,100 feet of different climbing activities.

3.) Check out ACES or Aspen Center for Environmental Studies.

ACES offers drop-in classes, hikes, and Adventure 101 Activities all throughout the summer! Check out their website here for more information on prices and dates. Our sitters would be happy to accompany your kids on any of these awesome activities!

4.) Play Mini Golf!

CP Burger just across from Rubey Park has a great mini golf course, and you can grab some food while you’re there. At CP Burger, you’ll find a variety of options from kale salads to falafel, and of course, burgers. In the summer they have a mini-golf course that is great for kids!

5.) Go hiking!! Aspen is full of great hiking trails for the whole family, particularly Smuggler Mountain. Hike 1.43 miles up to the observation deck to get a birds eye view of the city of Aspen and the surrounding mountains.
